Swing of Things

This past week we've been getting things figured out with two babies and their different schedules, plus driving to school twice a day. It's been nice going to school every day in the sense that we do the same thing every day and have gotten back into the routine of it. This week they were back in the field, so I've been on my own for much of the week. On Wednesdays I have handbell rehearsal at church. Everyone was in the field, so I had to take the kids with me. I was a little nervous about how Coye would do, but I didn't have any other options. The girls were awesome, and Coye did pretty well too. He sat in his car seat for a while and stared at the ceiling fans, and then played on the floor for a bit. Towards the end of rehearsal he started getting tired, so one of the ladies held him so we could finish practicing. It all worked out. On Thursday, I decided to take the kids to my niece Abbi's basketball game since it was at St. Paul's. I had Logan (the other little boy I babysit), so he came with us too. Thank goodness my in-laws and Calvin's aunt were there to help out. While the kids were good, it was definitely exhausting keeping track of all of them and keeping everyone happy. I am so happy that it's Friday today. I'm looking forward to hopefully sleeping in a little bit later tomorrow and staying home. Last weekend was so busy, I'm hoping that this weekend will be more relaxing.

In Aubrey's book order this month was a diary. I usually let them pick one or two books out, but she really wanted this diary, so I gave in and got it for her. She's been anxiously waiting for it to come and was so excited to bring it home today.

Chloe's sad face - she wanted a diary too.

Coye's typical position on his stomach - arms straight out. He has yet to figure out that if he puts his arms straight in front of him, he could roll over.

Wagner Family Pictures

Last Sunday we had family pictures taken with the entire Wagner clan, all 48 of us. It was a beautiful day - sunny and warm. The kids did great! We were also able to get some with Calvin's immediate family and some of just our family. I can't wait to see how they turned out. Here's a few that I took while we were there.

Family Resemblance

My friend Vanessa has been wanting me to post baby pictures of the girls for a while now so that we can see who Coye looks like. When he was born, I was sure that he looked so much like Chloe. Maybe it was the hair (she had so much), but his features seemed to resemble her. Now that he's gotten older, he seems to look more like Aubrey did as a baby. He definitely looks like he belongs in our family though either way. Check out these pictures and decide for yourself who he looks like.

Coye's New Buddy

I am sitting here in a nice quiet house. For the moment anyways. The girls are riding in the tractor with Calvin, and Coye is upstairs taking a nap. I figured I better take advantage of this time to blog about our week. This week I began babysitting for our friends' little boy Wade. He is three months old and an absolute doll. He and Coye are almost exactly two months apart. I have to admit that I was a little nervous about how everything was going to work, but this week has gone so well. Wade is an awesome baby, and Coye has been great too. The first day they took turns being awake and asleep for the first four and a half hours. The rest of the week has been hit or miss, but they do end up sleeping at least a little bit at the same time, so I can spend a little time playing with Chloe too. She has been an awesome helper and really seems to enjoy having two babies around to help entertain. She still likes to follow me around and pretty much go wherever I go, but at least we've had some one on one time together too, which is important. It's been beautiful outside all week, so we've spent some time outside. The boys love riding in the double stroller. Our road is way too busy to walk on, so we just walk up and down the driveway. They are pretty content to just look around. There haven't been too many crazy moments, but I'm sure we'll have some rough days at some point. I'm just glad that we've got a week down, and I'm starting to figure out how things are going to go.

5 Months Old!

Coye is five months old today! I know I say this every month, but where has the time gone? He is getting to be such a big boy. He loves people and smiles at anyone who talks to him. He still loves laying under his playmat and laying on the floor watching his sisters. He can now sit in the Bumbo seat and the exersaucer. He loves to chew on anything that he can get in his mouth and is really good at holding rattles and grabbing things. He still doesn't roll over either way yet (he used to but not anymore). We've been working on it, but when you put him on his tummy, he sticks his arms out to the side rather than in front of him. He is very ticklish and if you tickle his tummy, he will laugh. He loves his bath and likes to be held too. He is such a joy and delight and is a wonderful baby. We are so blessed and I can't imagine my life without him!

Doesn't he look big?! I don't know if you can tell from the picture, but his hair continues to fall out. I think it may end up lighter like Aubrey's.

Adjusting

The past few weeks we've been busy adjusting to our new routine. Coye's been on a pretty good schedule that fits well with the driving back and forth between school. Chloe's figuring out how to make it through the day without Aubrey. Here's a few pictures from the past few weeks.

Aubrey and Chloe love to play babies. They take turns being the mom and the baby. Aubrey can be pretty bossy, although Chloe is very stubborn. Sometimes it gets very interesting!
Chloe and I got out the jumperoo for Coye. He's been getting bored lately with just the swing and the bouncy seat, so I thought maybe something new would help. He's not a huge fan of it, but I think once he gets a little bigger he'll like it better.

Doesn't he look excited?

Chloe had Grandparents' Day at school. She was so excited to have Great-Grandma Wagner, Grandpa and Grandma Wagner, Grandma Timm, and Aunt Kathy there.

The girls put these headbands on and said that they were going running. They then proceeded to run around the kitchen before finally stopping. Chloe said she was sweaty and that they had finished running eight miles. Can you tell we have runners in the family?

Taking a break from their run

Our church is in the process of making a new directory. I volunteered to help put it together. I was working on it one afternoon when Chloe was supposed to be sleeping. She got up from her nap and then "worked" beside me.

I added the girls' favorite song to the ipod - Ryan Bingham's Southside of Heaven.

I can't believe how big he's getting!

First Combine Ride

Harvest has officially begun around here! The fields have dried out enough for them to get back in and start combining. On Saturday, Calvin was back in the fields. The girls rode with him last week, but Coye and I didn't get a chance, so I decided to take all the kids out there and ride a few rounds. The girls of course loved it. Coye did too. He watched the bean head spin round and round before falling asleep and sleeping the rest of the time we rode. He was pretty cute!
