Coye turned three the beginning of May. It's so crazy that this little boy is already three years old and will be heading off to preschool in less than a month. I can still remember the girls at this age and it just doesn't seem possible that he can be old enough already. He has grown and changed so much in the past year and gone from being a toddler to a full fledged boy. He's got so much energy and is so physical - much different from the girls. He runs more than he walks and loves to wrestle with Calvin when he gets home at night. He was really into Thomas the train last year and while he still likes Thomas, he's not as infatuated as he once was. He still likes to play tractors, skidsters, and cars when he's not running, jumping, or throwing things. He loves to read books and has been starting to do puzzles more. He knows all of his colors, most of his shapes, and can spell his name (I worked on those things with the boys last year). He doesn't have a favorite in the family - he bounces back and forth between all of us, sometimes wanting me or daddy, while other times he wants one of the girls. He loves playing with someone, but doesn't do as well playing by himself, which comes from the fact that he usually has a playmate to play with. He still naps in the afternoon, which gives me some quiet time. I'm definitely not ready for him to give that up yet. He's the spitting image of his dad - blonde and blue eyed. When Calvin is around, there's no doubt who he belongs to. I love this little boy with all my heart and while he drives me absolutely crazy sometimes, I could not imagine my life without him.

On his actual birthday, we celebrated by having a picnic in the park with a few of his friends after we went to library time. We had cupcakes and then the boys played. He had a great time!
