Dad's Little Helper

Aubrey joined 4-H this year and will get to show cattle at the fair this summer. Calvin has been waiting forever for this day to come! He loves working with cattle and has been eagerly waiting for our kids to be old enough to show. Aubrey has a steer (Patches) and a heifer (Daisy) she will be showing. They've started to work with them more and have begun washing them. She is really enjoying it. I'm not sure which she loves more - working with the cows or getting some alone time with her dad. :)

Coye's Camo Birthday Party

Coye really loves the show PAW Patrol, but he also really loves camouflage, so he had a hard time deciding what kind of birthday party he wanted. He went back and forth but finally decided on a camouflage theme. His favorite color is also green so this worked out great for his cake. Everything turned out great and we were able to celebrate his birthday with family and friends.

Mother's Day

We celebrated Mother's Day by heading down to Danville to spend the afternoon with mom and dad. We ate lunch with them, played a little baseball, and walked to the park. It was a nice relaxing afternoon.

Coye turns 4!

Coye turned four the beginning of May. Hard to believe that my tiny little baby boy is now a full fledged preschooler. This kid can be sweeter than anything, giving you hugs and kisses, saying that he loves you and then the next minute he's off screaming, running around the house, and jumping off of the couch. He can be so exhausting! To describe him accurately would be to say that he is all boy - physical, loud, destructive. He loves to crash his toys into things or each other. His favorite thing to do when we are outside is play baseball. He is constantly asking if someone will play baseball with him and pitch him the ball. Sometimes the girls are game, other times not so much. Some of his favorite toys are his tractors, cars, Lincoln logs, Legos, PAW patrol figures, and blocks. He loves being read to and will sit quietly and still as long as you read to him. He loves fruit, milk, and juice and is still a pretty good eater. He knows his colors, shapes, and alphabet and loved school and his teachers. He can spell and write his name. His favorite color is green and he absolutely loves camouflage! He gave us quite the scare in April when I noticed his groin was swollen and tender to the touch. I was worried that he had a hernia, so I took him to the doctor who ordered an ultrasound immediately, thinking that it might be a hernia which would need surgery that day. Thankfully it turned out to be swollen lymph nodes in his groin so no surgery was needed. He did get a shot and also oral antibiotics and was better within two weeks. It was nice to have him finally feeling better. We love him so much and couldn't imagine our life without him!

Hannah and Gabe came to celebrate Easter with us. The kids had fun playing together and we enjoyed spending time with them.
