Chloe finally has some teeth! One of her top two teeth broke through on Thursday, while the other one broke through yesterday. Hooray! I've been waiting for her to get teeth for so long. I think that she's also starting to get her bottom ones, because her bottom gums are swollen and it almost looks like there are little white lines where her teeth should be. No wonder she's been kind of cranky this week off and on! I attempted to get a picture of her new teeth, but no such luck. She tried eating the camera every time I tried. Maybe when they come in better I'll be able to get one.
The girls have been cracking me up lately! Chloe plays so well - she just bounces from toy to toy making a huge mess as she goes, but hey, she's playing, so I really shouldn't complain. She loves to sit in your lap to read books, even though most of the time she just likes to look at the pictures. She'll bring a book over to me and will back up until she's sitting on my lap. She gets very mad if I'm not sitting up so she can sit on my lap. She's also starting to understand some things. She'll give me her pacifier after nap when I ask for it, attempt to put food into Calvin's mouth when he asks for some, and will sometimes bring me something that she has. It's really cool to see her start to develop some language skills. She's also pretty much gotten over her fear of people. We went shopping last week and I let her get down (big mistake!). Aubrey always stayed right beside me. Not Chloe! She took off as fast as she could get away from me. Needless to say, she was not happy when she had to be held.
Aubrey has been making supper for herself and her "baby" as I make supper at night. I put a stool up to the counter and she'll get out all of the spices and put some in a bowl with cheerios and make her supper. She loves it when Chloe wakes up and she can feed Chloe some too. The other night she made cheerios with ground mustard and oregano. She tried it and decided that it didn't taste very good. Good thing Chloe was asleep and didn't have to try that "supper". :) Aubrey is also loving music. She got a Christmas CD from Aunt Sharon and absolutely loves to listen to it and dance. She'll even run around the kitchen table if I put songs on for her to dance to in the kitchen. It's pretty funny!
Aubrey drew a fish on the magnadoodle.
I babysat Clare and Sophia this week. Sophia was at school and the three girls were anxiously awaiting her arrival home.
