Last weekend, Nic's family and mom, dad, and Jenna came to our house. We had not seen Nic, Ingrid, and the boys since Colton was born, so we were very excited for them to come. Nic and I were a little worried, though, how Aubrey and Maximus were going to interact as they are both in the "mine" stage and don't really like to share. However, we were pleasantly surprised at how well they played together. There were a few rough moments, but for the most part, they played excellent together. They chased each other around outside, swang together, put rocks into holes in the barn (that was Maximus' idea), and played in the little car we have. I think Aubrey liked the fact that there was someone her own size to play with. Everyone around us has children who are either older or younger than her, so it was great to have someone her own age. Colton had grown so much since we had seen him. He seems so long - almost as long as Chloe. He was so cute! He just kind of took everything in around him and slept when he got too tired. I miss those days! :) Overall, it was a great visit, but not long enough. Nic and Ingrid are hoping to come back to stay for an entire weekend maybe the end of October to give Maximus and Aubrey time to play together again. We'll have to see how well they do the next time!
