Happy 5th Birthday Aubrey!

Yesterday was Aubrey's birthday. She turned 5! It's hard for me to believe that she is 5 years old already. Someone told me yesterday to not blink, because it goes by so fast. Man is that true! I feel like it was not that long ago that I was in the hospital seeing her beautiful little face for the first time. And now she's 5. Craziness! She had a great birthday. She got to go to school and take cupcakes. Plus it was a chapel day (which she loves), and they got to practice writing their letters on boards (which she also loves). Calvin made it in for supper to eat with us, and then the girls got to go out and help him do chores. Once I got home from handbells, we had cupcakes and then opened presents. (I decided that since I already made the girls a Dora cake for their other party, we would just do something simple like cupcakes.) Aubrey opened a couple of books from my Aunt Norma, some cards, and then got her gift from us - a new bike. She was so excited! It's big, but once Calvin adjusts the seat, I think it will be perfect and give her room to grow. Chloe was happy too because now she gets Aubrey's old bike. She was a little upset that she didn't get to open any presents. I guess she's just used to them opening at the same time and assumed that she'd get more presents too. She got over it pretty quick though.
